Children 12 and over are eligible for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine which received emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on May 11, 2021. The Advisory Council on Immunization Practices and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also reviewed the data and recommend the use of the vaccine in adolescents.
