Tri-Cities Washington COVID-19 update
Information about COVID-19 Vaccines
We recognize that many Kadlec patients and area community members are eager to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and we encourage everyone to get vaccinated when they are eligible. The vaccine is one of the very best ways to protect yourself and others and is a key step in saving lives and ending the pandemic.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE VACCINE?
Kadlec is following state COVID-19 vaccine distribution guidelines and we are committed to the safe and equitable distribution of the vaccine. For the latest information on who is currently eligible to receive the vaccine, please click here.
WHERE CAN THOSE WHO ARE ELIGIBLE RECEIVE THE VACCINE?
Those who are eligible can visit the Washington State Department of Health Vaccine Locator to find vaccination distribution sites closest to them. When Kadlec has vaccine appointments available, we will make an announcement on our Facebook page and will open our schedule on the link at the state Department of Health website, found here.
The health and well-being of our caregivers, our patients and our community remains our highest priority. Thank you for continuing to do your part to keep you and our communities safe by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and washing your hands frequently. Stay safe and be well.
Entry into Our Facilities
Visitors will be screened at the main entrances prior to entering. Anyone who exhibits cold or flu-like symptoms or has a fever will be asked to return home.
Kadlec understands the importance and value of patients having access to their loved ones while receiving care in the hospital and clinics. We recently transitioned to allow patients in all settings to be accompanied or attended by one care partner.
All care partners are screened prior to entry. Our goal is to ensure no patient is alone when receiving care while also safeguarding our medically frail patients and staff who are so vital to our ability to provide care.
Decisions to further open visitation will be made by way of our visitor policy team. The visitor policy team’s work follows a very thoughtful, thorough process that includes perspectives from leaders from around the Kadlec organization as well as a member of our patient family advisory council. They take into consideration guidance provided by the CDC, our local health department and our Providence partners prior to making final recommendations.
As always, we remain committed to our Mission to provide safe, compassionate care.
